This 2017 Oscar-nominated film, directed by filmmaker, Dan Krauss, Extremis is a heart-wrenching verité documentary that follows Jessica Zitter, her team and their patients as they grapple with urgent end-of-life medical decision-making in Oakland, California’s Highland Hospital ICU.

The film has won top honors at the Tribeca and San Francisco Film Festivals and is the first short original documentary to be acquired by Netflix.
